My San Francisco Chronicle – days 6 and 7

After having been through all these challenges, I'm armored. Nothing worst can happen to me.

I join B. and D., friends who just arrived in SF, at Stern Grove Festival to listen to Pink Martini. The lack of kindness of the organizers doesn't even reach me.

"Je ne veux pas travailler.
Je ne veux pas déjeuner.
Je veux seulement m'oublier,
Et puis, je fume"*

I'm floating on this air. Direction Haight Street. On Sunday afternoon shines the hippie moon. I land in a bar with N., a friend of a friend of a friend. Right now begin some wonderful hours. Budweiser, pizza, an incredible sight on San Francisco fog and prosecco with the best gentleman and funniest guide I have ever known. This is this kind of San Francisco that I have always dreamt of!!!

The day after, I'm heading to the airport, holding one of the best burritos of the city in my hand. Now, I know the best taquiera of Frisco, and guess what? It is in Mission. I don't hate Mission anymore.

I would have gone through really tough moments here, but I finally got to appreciate the city. Even more, as weird as it can seem after all these San Francisco chronicles, I think I will go back there once.

I particularly thank my New York friends, who texted me all their support, proposing me to come back (you can believe that I was about to do it at a certain point) and my new San Francisco friends, who succeeded in lighting me this fog (so on time every day) through which I could hardly see first! I also thank my longtime friends of course, to which this week seemed quite surreal. Actually, when you travel alone, you are never alone.

Ps: I hope that the lucky French people, who found and kept my city guide – little bastards - enjoyed it... Actually, my map and I had some great times in our adventure!

I don’t want to have lunch
I just want to forget myself
And I smoke”
